TCU opens admissions for the second round

The Tanzania Universities Commission (TCU), has opened the admission window for the second phase for undergraduate students for the academic year 2024/2025 which will start from September 03 to 21,2024.

The opening was held today, September 03, 2024, after TCU's Executive Secretary, Prof. Charles Kihampa while noting that 98,890 applicants equal to 79.6 percent of the applicants who applied for admission in the first phase have been admitted to the  Universities they applied for.

Specifying TANZANIAWEB . Being Prof..Kihampa has asked the applicants to use the opportunity by sending their applications for admission to the  Universities they need.

In another step, Prof. Kihampa has noted that by September 21, 2024, applicants who have found more than one  Universities should confirm to the University is among the ones they have found in case they receive text messages through the phones they used in their admission as well as the Emails they put in their information.

According to THE CITIZEN, they have noted that TCU for the first phase of student admissions has been completed and the names of those admitted in that phase have been announced by the respective  Universities while in the first phase of admission, a total of 124,286 applicants sent applications to join 86  Universities authorized to admit students in the first degree.

The number of places available in the 2024/2025 academic year that is expected to start this year is an increase of 6.8 percent compared to the 186,289 places that existed for the first degree in the 2023/2024 academic year.

However, with the increase in study opportunities, the programs offered by  Universities have increased to 856 compared to 809 programs in 2023/2024, which is an increase of 47 study programs.
