Buha FM Radio was founded by the civil organization called The Organization for Human Investment and Development in 2020 after many citizens in the area hosting refugees from Burundi and DRC complained and signed petitions on the lack of communication opportunities in parallel with the presence of many social challenges, especially the increase for crime, the increase of undocumented immigrants, environmental damage, acts of sexual violence and negative relations between refugees and locals. Buha FM Radio is a community-based Radio devoted to promoting community development in western Tanzania
